Oh, ja es ist wahr wir hatten vor ca. 1 Stunde ein Erdbeben hier an der Ostküste der USA. Mein Schreibtisch und Computer fing an zu wackeln und ich bin sofort nach draußen gerannt (immerhin hab ich ja schon Erfahrung mit Erdbeben aus meiner Zeit in Südspanien!). Kurz danach gab es dann auch etwas in den Medien - Epizentrum war ca. 241 Kilometer südlich von Washington D.C. in VA. Natürlich hab ich gleich versucht die Schwiegereltern anzurufen (die wohnen ja in VA), aber die Handynetze sind immernoch total überlastet. Mr. P. ist gerade auf Reisen in CT und hat nichtmal etwas mitbekommen! Er meinte nur, daß seine Eltern eh i.M. nicht zu Hause sind, von daher brauchen wir uns keine Sorgen machen. Mal gucken, ob und wann die Nachbeben kommen....
Yes, it is true we had an earthquake here on the eastcoast of the USA. My table and computer started to shake and I immidiately got out (thanks to my earthquake experience from the time when I was living in South Spain!). Shortly after, also the media started reporting about the quake, whose center was about 150 miles south of Washington D.C. I tried to get hold of my parents in law (they live in VA), but the mobile phone lines are still down. Mr.P. didn't even notice anything! He is travelling in CT right now and he thinks his parents should be fine, because they are not at home anyway. I'm just wondering if and when there will be any aftershocks...
